Nat Cargius of Nat Cargius Hairdressing said:
“I was honoured to join the judging panel for HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards 2026 for the first time. It was a real privilege to be part of an awards programme that continues to champion exceptional talent across the industry. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing such a high standard of creative work and playing a role in recognising the very best in British hairdressing.”
Judged by some of the most respected names in the industry, including hairdressing legends and former winners, the Awards celebrate outstanding creative work across 18 Regional and Specialist categories as well as British and Session Hairdressers of the Year throughout the UK and Northern Ireland. For winners, the British Hairdressing Awards represents the ultimate mark of achievement, offering a platform that elevated talent onto the global stage through significant recognition and exposure.
The first round of judging takes place in July at Novotel London West, where an expert panel will review hundreds of collections across all categories. The second stage of judging takes place at Salon International, Excel London, on Sunday 4 October 2026.
The Awards will culminate in a celebratory evening at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London on Monday 23 November 2026, bringing together the industry’s leading talent for a night of recognition, creativity and celebration.
Mark Moloney, Managing Director of Hairdressers Journal International, said:
“Each year, we are privileged to bring together an extraordinary panel of judges whose expertise, creativity and influence help define excellence in British hairdressing. Their insight ensures that every entry is judged with integrity, passion and an unwavering commitment to celebrating the very best talent in our industry.”
