Looking for a hairdresser in Wrexham is tough especially when there’s so many to choose from. The question is, how exactly do you go about looking for a hairdresser in Wrexham?

If you ask, nearly every woman will tell you the importance of looking for a good hairdresser. One that can be trusted to create lovely hairstyles, listens and delivers that WOW!

1. ASK FOR REFERRALS

Looking for a hairdresser in Wrexham that will give you the look you want can sometimes be as easy as looking around you. If you see someone with a hair style similar to the one you’re looking for, go ask them where they had their hair cut. Be cheeky and ask for a photo. Ask close friends who they go to and, more importantly, why. If you visit a hairdresser recommended by a close friend, make sure you tell them of the referral and or take your friend with you.

2. AVOID BUDGET SALONS

I know, it’s a few weeks until payday but that hair needs a trim, but don’t do it. There’s nothing wrong with budget salons and some provide a great cut but a trip to a good hairdresser is an event, come on you need pampering and that one to one service. Do you want a junior that barely knows how to wash hair let loose on your hair?

Remember, that a cheap haircut is always tempting but with most budget salons, that’s exactly what you get a cheap haircut.

3. SHOP AROUND

The beauty of looking for a hairdresser in Wrexham is that you never have to “settle” for second best. As you continue your quest for the perfect match, make sure you check out different salons and their rates and services. Get a feel for the atmosphere and personalities of the stylists working there. Is the salon filled with the sound of loud music/ Is the TV on and the stylists singing along to MTV? Is it silent and the clients not engaging with their stylists?

My number one tip is to always look at the stylist you are considering as your potential new hairdresser and pay attention to her hair. If it looks well groomed, well styled and of course has excellent color and shape then you will know you are in good hands.

4. ASK FOR A CONSULTATION

If you have found a few stylists you like, but still aren’t completely sure that you’ve met your match, ask for a consultation. Most hairdressers offer free consultations and you can go on your lunch break. Nat Cargius insists on a free consultation prior to being let loose on a clients hair. Don’t stop at just one consultation. Make sure you check out several different hairdressers in Wrexham. At a consultation, ask your stylist what services they offer, rates, products and techniques they use. Get an overall feel for their personality.

5. ESTABLISH A GOOD RAPPORT

I must stress the importance of establishing a good rapport and friendship with your stylist. Since many hairdressers eventually turn into “therapists” or “listeners,” make sure you feel comfortable with your hairdresser’s personality and attitude. A good hairdresser will be able to give you recommendations for cut and colour and they will also be able to look at photos and copy the haircut almost exactly.

6. DON’T FEEL OBLIGATED

It’s important to point out that you should never feel obligated to your hairdresser. If it’s the first time you’ve the salon and you didn’t like the cut, colour or atmosphere, don’t feel obligated to return.

7. NEVER “CHEAT” ON YOUR STYLIST

So, you’ve found a stylist that you are completely satisfied with now try your best not to “cheat” on them by visiting other salons. Stay faithful to your hairdresser and they will treat you like royalty every time you visit. In emergency cases, such as a visit away from home, that’s a different story and be honest and tell them about it.

I’m happy to say that our clients love us as their hairdresser and some say that we’re one of the top hairdressers in Wrexham. Happy to hear that but we’re always striving to be better.

In a career spanning over thirty years in hairdressing, Nat Cargius work has appeared in magazines and publications worldwide. He is the recipient of a much coveted British Hairdressing Award and not surprisingly, he has taught and lectured in advanced hairdressing skills in prestigious London Hairdressing Academies as well conducting seminars throughout Europe.

With his passion, desire and total commitment for excellent customer service, Nat Cargius will be there to guide you from the moment you enter the salon, to the moment you leave feeling and looking stunning. That’s from consultation, shampooing, cutting, blow drying or highlights and colouring.the whole process.

The salon atmosphere is far more relaxed than is traditional in most salons, so you will never be rushed in any way. Very rarely will there be another client waiting whilst you are enjoying your time in the salon – it all makes for a relaxed, enjoyable and pleasurable experience, a one to one experience.
